No more 40 second limit for ringtones on the iPhone!!

You can now use any audio clip as your ringtone..Yes, even full lenth songs.

All you need is:

• A Jailbroken iPhone How To?
• iTunes
• SSH Knowledge How To?

Steps:

1. Go to iTunes and create AAC version of the clip.
   • 
2. Right click on the newly created AAC Version and click Show in Explorer to locate the clip.
3. Next SSH into yout phone and copy the AAC Clip to /Library/Ringtones.
4. Finally, change the extension of the file to .m4r from .m4a
5. Respring and enjoy your Full length ringtone!

The Process

1. Select an “.mp3″ that you want to use as a ringtone
2. Convert the “.mp3″ to an “.m4a” using an audio converter
3. Rename the extension of the “.m4a” to “.m4r”
   • If windows says the item may not work or become unstable just continue
4. Go to ringtones on iTunes and add new item and browse to the ringtone you just created
5. Now sync ipod and your custom tone will be on your iphone

I found out how to make my own Ringtones for my iPhone using simple free tools that I found on Google.

All you have to do is unzip the file, you will then get a folder with 60 ringtones.  Simply add these to iTunes, sync your iPhone and you are good to go.

Some of the sounds clips are really for notifications like email. But unfortunately these are not currently user definable sounds at the moment!  Hark on at Apple to get these functions added!

If you check Cydia for new releases today (like me!) you may found a new (may be  an updated version) application called vWallpaper!

Forget black Springboard, add a Video on it! Forget Simple Ringtones, hello to Video Ringtones

After installing you will find a new icon on your SpringBoard named vWallpaper! Open it! Now you have 2 Choices; you can select Video Wallpaper and/or Video Ringtones!

In video wallpaper section you can download videos and enable video on the iPhone SpringBoard (Picture wallpaper also available!).

In Video Ringtone section you can download video ringtons & enable iPhone to show video when ringing! An interesting function in this section is Manage Contacts! so you can assign video ringtones to your contacts!

and of course some disadvantages:

• Wallpapers reduces battery life (Aslo LCD life)
• Buggy user interface (Navigate to the bottom of page crash the application!)
• Can’t use the iPhone photo album for picture wallpaper
• Can’t use the iPhone Camera for creating new videos
