iTunes 9.1, Jailbreakers beware!!
Mar 31st, 2010 by Mojtaba

Recently Apple released a new version of iTunes tto support the upcoming iPad. According to iClarified this major update stops iPhones and iPod touches which use the tethered jailbreak with blackra1n from begin able to reboot.
This, only applies to windows users.

Although iH8sn0w has released a fix for blackra1n, there is no reason for updating to 9.1 (except for iPad users) because this fix is not officially supported by Geohat.

blackra1n fix for iTunes 9.1 (Download here)

UPDATE : THE IPHONE DEV TEAM HAS SAID THAT ITUNES 9.1 IS SAFE FOR ALL JAILBREAKERS AND UNLOCKERS. THE ONLY ISSUE IS THE BLACKRA1N ONE BUT HAS BEEN FIXED BY IH8SN0W ( link above).

iPad
Jan 28th, 2010 by Mojtaba

Apple released their new tablet named iPad. As rumured it has a large (9.7 inch) multi touch screen, 1Ghz apple custom processor.

Actually there is nothing new because we see all these technologies in our iPhones. iPad has the same UI (as you see above) as iPhone. I think that apple made a big mistake by releasing iPad. They should work more on the UI, hardware, etc. There is no camera, no USB host, no more storage, … just 10 hours battery. Shame on you Steve!

Rock and Roll with Apple on 09/09/09!
Sep 10th, 2009 by sid

Apple at their “Rock and Roll” event yesterday have updated a lot of things :)
Here’s a list of the new updates to hardware and software:
1.iPods:
The new iPod Touch – no camera as everyone expected but definite improvements.
iPod Touch 3G
Apple added a 64GB model, doubling the capacity of the touch. The 64GB iPod touch will sell for $399, the old price tag for the 32GB model. The 32GB iPod touch now costs $299.Apple didn’t just change the pricing and capacity for those higher-end models. According to Schiller, the 64GB and 32GB iPod touches are now 50-percent faster and feature support for Open GLES version 2.0, the cross-platform graphics API.

The new iPod Nano – sports a new camera that allows even video recording and uploading to youtube!
iPod Nano 5G
The new iPod comes in 8GB and 16GB models, priced at $149 and $179, respectively. The music players now feature a video camera and microphone on the back of the device along with a built-in speaker. The nano can display video or sync it back to your computer for uploading to YouTube.

Other iPod Models:
iPod Classic New
Despite speculation that Apple might discontinue the iPod classic–the last remaining hard drive-based device in its iPod line–that model remains with an expanded capacity. The iPod classic now features 160GB of storage at the same price as before, $249.

iPod Shuffle New
As for the iPod shuffle, it comes in new colors. The 2GB and 4GB models sell for $59 and $79, respectively; a special edition 4GB model made of stainless steel costs $99.

2.iTunes 9:
Apple also released iTunes 9 yesterday.

What’s new:
iTunes LP
From the artists to the fans: song lyrics, liner notes, photos, and more.
Home Sharing
Transfer music, movies, and more between your computers at home.
The Redesigned iTunes Store
With a great new look, it’s even easier to explore.
iTunes Extras
Get an inside look at your favorite movies with new special features.
Genius Mixes
Genius creates perfect music mixes, automatically.
Improved Syncing
Better ways to sync. And a new way manage apps on your Home screens.

3.Software Update
Apple also released firmware 3.1 for iPhones and older iPod Touches.
The new features include:

  • Genius Mixes
  • Genius App Recommendations
  • Downloading Ringtones Wirelessly (iPhone Only)
  • Easy organizing of home screens using iTunes 9
  • Installous & OS 3.1
    Sep 10th, 2009 by Mojtaba

Users who wants to use Installous, Appsyne, Mobileinstallation patch on their iPhones should wait for the new releases of DevTeam products (Redsn0w, PwnageTool, …) in order to Jailbreak their iPhones.

This week Apple will be all over the news with their announcements at Wednesday’s “Let’s Rock” event. But with so many new owners of the iPhone 3GS, and with so many new owners of the iPhone 3G (perhaps sold to them by these new 3GS owners)…now is a good time to send out this general advisory.

If you update to Apple’s new software using the normal iTunes process, you will lose your ultrasn0w unlock. In fact you may lose it permanently, because for most people the baseband firmware cannot be reverted to a previous version (unlike the main application CPU firmware).

But don’t worry…our PwnageTool program lets you update your main firmware without touching your baseband firmware, so you can still have the best of both worlds. But you must be diligent about saying “no” to your iTunes request this week to update your firmware.

Stay tuned for more update & news.

    Aug 24th, 2009 by Sykh06

As I might’ve said before, iTunes 9 is going to enable us to arrange our iPhone home screen right from iTunes but iTunes 9 won’t be out until September 9 so I looked around for other possibilities and found movement, a really superb app which does just this, it even enables you to backup your home screen layout!
