Hudmidify your iPhone with iFog
Dec 6th, 2009 by Mojtaba

Today I find a new software in AppStore named “iFog”. When I opened it, just find a simple photo of rose flower as below :

But when I puff into the iPhone microphone, wow! iPhone screen covered with fog? It’s really interesting, huh? Now you can write down on it and you may want to play tic-tac-toe with your friends!
But the main point of this app was discovered when you write something on the iPhone screen, yes you can’t see what you write but when you puffiFog on Youtube into mic & make some fog your writing appears on the screen as you can see in following screen shot :

if you familiar with the iPhone user interface (buttons, etc) you found that the UI of this app is a bit differ form what you seen before it may be another point of interest for buying this app!
But iFog didn’t support Multi-touch, I think they should add this functionality in future updates.

Redlaser, a must have app
Jul 21st, 2009 by Sykh06

I were reading some old comments when I saw that someone had asked us to right a review about the app redlaser, I immediately went to the app store and bought the app, I never thought it’ll be as good as it really is. so what is redlaser?

redlaser is a barcode scanning app which uses the iPhones built in camera to scan barcodes then quickly search online and figure out what product you’ve just scanned, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I scanned a Nivea cream and it got the results right, I thought it was beginners luck so I scanned something else, the result turned out wrong but actually, the barcode was on the wrong product, I entered the barcode manually and saw that it had the same results, the barcode had been seen correctly but for some reason it wasn’t tagged to my product so if you don’t have redlaser, it is definitely worth buying. and at £1 it’s a bargain.

*NOTE: I fugured out that redlaser works only in UK/EU/USA or at least products from these regions.*

Skype & iPhone

skype 1 Skype & iPhone

UPDATE: Skype seems to be live now in the US App Store [iTunes Link]. If you find it in any other App Store’s please let us know in the comments.

UPDATE 2: According to CBC News, Skype will NOT be available in Canada (though it will be everywhere else). The reason, a patent-license restrictions on Skype’s end that they won’t discuss. Apparently that means no iPhone Skype App for Canada and crippled Skype-to-Skype and IM only for the BlackBerry come may. Sort that out, will you Skype. Now?

Skype, the popular VoIP (voice over IP) service that sends telephone calls via the internet, will be WiFi only for calls, of course (carriers will protect their income by keeping it off 3G), but you can IM chat anywhere. How does it stack up to existing apps like Fring that already offer VoIP support? CNet, which has an early review up, quotes Skype a saying:

what the other apps use is a workaround that requires them to channel calls through a server and transcode audio, resulting in poorer-quality calls than Skype can do in its own app.

GigaOm seems pleased:

SkypeIn and SkypeOut, along with Skype Chat, are the key features of this new version of the Skype application. This is a native P2P application for the iPhone and the iPod touch. It allows group chats and conference calls and is tightly integrated with Apple’s Address Book.

Gizmodo, by contrast, thinks:

Third party apps like Fring picked up Skype’s slack a long time ago, and lump in multiprotocol IMing, something which gives them a distinct advantage over this official client on the one-app-at-a-time-please iPhone.
