I’ve installed 3.1.3 via redsn0w nad until now I don’t notice any heavy speed impact. Au contraire, cydia and safari are working even faster than before!!! Wow! I’ll keep 3.1.3.. )
Hey, great test!! It helped me very much. I was stuck on 1.1.4 a long time, and so I decided to insall 2.2.1 on my 2G in order to have more speed furthermore. But the main goal to install 2.x was to get connected with app store. But since most of apps require OS 3.x, hte update I’ve done is useless. I must update to 3.x, because there are some apps I want I just can get on app store.
Therefore I would like to ask some questions: 1. Which of the 3.x OS’ is supposed to be the fastest one? 2. Is there a way to pretend to app store to have a 3.x OS even if 2.x is installed in fact??
Thanks!
Yes u can check out some apps in Cydia if you are jailbroken that will help you make your phone think it is on 3.x when u really are on 2.x
