Push notification on iPhone 2G

pushiphoneaim Here is the steps I follow in order to get Push Notification works on my Hacktivated iPhone 2G

*use this method at your Own risk!

Update iPhone to OS 3.0 using PwnageTool -How to-
Turn Off iPhone
Insert “O2″ SIM card (Not sure about AT&T)*
Restore iPhone to OS 3.0 using iTunes with official “.ipsw”
Wait for iTunes to activate the iPhone
- DON’T RESTORE BACKUP
Go To appstore & download the “AIM free” **
Run AIM & test push!
Now Eject The O2 SIM & Insert your SIM (Don’t turn off the iPhone)
Now use redsn0w to jailbreak the iPhone
- Uncheck the “Unlock” & “Install Cydia”***
Wait for iPhone to complete the jailbreaking & Activation process!
Now open AIM & test the Push service again!!
Enjoy Pushing in iPhone!!

Notes:

*My iPhone comes with an O2 SIM !! (Not sure about AT&T)

**You can download any other apps that support Push such as IM+

***I hate Cydia

***I hate Cydia! I do too it is the worst iphone app… it is slow like hell! Too bad it is like the best way to get third party apps cuz Icy Sucks!!!

Both are the opposite it is terrible iphone os 1.1.4 Installer was the best, wasnt it?

Hi – I have an O2 sim – but have it already activated on my 3g iphone – my wife has a 2g iphone can i transfer my o2 sim to her phone and temporarily activate it using ur method to get push notification or is this not advisable?

Does it work with international carries like from brazil? I’m so in need of this push thing… was the most anticipated feature but now apple has denided us 2g users from using that what a shame apple!

how can i do it?? i ve a at&t sim but when i use it iTunes ask me personal info and other stuff…because i thinks that sim was never activated

@asd- name, surname & … are very common questions !!! you can’t answer them? I think you have to create an iTunes account (How To create a free iTunes account) then activate the SIM using this account!
