few hours ago Dev-Team released their new tools for jailbreaking iPhone OS 3.0. In this post i want to write some clear instruction regarding these new tools.

Enough talking, Follow me

Prerequests

• iPhone 2G, iPod Touch 1G or iPhone 3G (2G iPod Touch not supported yet! use redsn0w instead)
• PwnageTool (or Quickpwn for mac) -Download it-
• USB cable
• a MAC running leopard 10.5.7 (not sure about 10.5.6 and later)
• Firmware 3.0 .ipsw file! -Download it-
• Active internet connection
• iTunes 8.2 -Download it-

Step 1 -Creating custom firmware-

• Copy PwnageTool & .ipsw file in the same folder
• Run PwnageTool
• Select your device from appearing screen
• follow the on screen instructions.

Step 2 -Uploading firmware to iPhone-

• Open iTunes
• Hold down the “option” key then press restore
• Select custom firmware that you previously created with pwnageTool
• enjoy OS 3.0

Note: The procure above will cause jailbreaking data, such as cycorder captured video, loss.
