The cpu is called as a little more recent design number however it and the GPU are likely the similar speed as the 3GS. The old Contact with the similar CPU and GPU since the 3G was faster. Apart from getting the clock speed turned up higher the Contact has much less software to run since it is not a phone. It should defeat any iPhone to this day in performance.

Hey there,i hav itouch 2g i recently updated my itouch to os 3.1.2 Then i cracked it with ur step.It worked perfectly alrite but one day my springboard crashed.Then i restored to original settings.It is jailbroken thru redhot blackra1n.Now the problem is whenever i tried to install appsync or installous,it displays error ‘SIZE MISMATCH’,i restored it 3 times,tried to installed more than 20 times but still no result..PLz help me guys..i m in great need..plzzzzzzzz…help me..lookin forward for reply..thanku..

I used method 3 (ipod touch 2.2.1 2g) and everything was perfect until i got a message “application cannot be opened”… solution? Anybody?
i really need to know which is clean and which colour is drity in the settings its really not clear how do you tell
There is an app in Cydia called appsync which will save you all the hassle of this…

i just follow the hackpulus method, with iphone 2g jailbreaked with 3.0, but when i restart… aaahhh

@Aftab – Try to connect to your iPhone with SSH while showing apple logo. If connected go and replace “installd” with original version (search google). If you can’t connect to iPhone you should restore it using iTunes. Sorry
that was exactly what happened to mine.. you would have to restore your phone and unlock + jailbreak it again.. so i guess it can be highly recommended that iphone 2g users don’t use installous!! instead download AppSync to your iphone and also make sure all the Cydia programmes are installed in your phone before trying to install a cracked .ipa.. if everything goes well, use itunes to sync the new apps

After installing Appsync my phone crashed. I can reach the files with SSH, but the springbpoard doesn’t start at all. What should I do? How could I undo the changes that Appsync did? What files are changed by Appsync? I am really in big trouble. Restore take always a whole day…

@Thomas- Appsync change “installd” file on your iPhone, search google and find the original “installd” then copy it to your phone.
hi,i’m really having a lot of problem with Installous.. I tried 2 methods of installing cracked .ipa and both times forced me to restore me phone
The first time i used it, I installed Safari DL Plug-In, MI Patch and Installous from Cydia.. I then downloaded some crack .ipa from Appulous on my Windows and when i synced my phone to my Windows via iTunes, none of the apps appeared on my phone.. so i tried to reboot my phone, but to my dissapointment.. my phone just froze at the apple logo at start up and i had to restore my phone…
For the second time, i installed Installous on my phone through Cydia and downloaded the apps directly to my phone using Installous.. after completing its installation, the app did not appear on my phone again and when i rebooted my phone, the same thing happened.. my phone just froze at the apple logo…
Can some one please tell me what did i do wrong? i really do not want to restore my phone again because it’s so troublesome especially on my computer…
now i seriously think there is an issue with Installous now as after making sure my phone had all the files (zip, unzip, etc.) and installing Installous with Cydia, the Installous app appeared on my phone with a Facebook logo instead after i rebooted my phone from BossPref.. can someone please clarify if there is any problem with Installous currently..cause i really do not want to have to restore my phone..
Hi! problem with method 3, after jailbreaking/ unlocking OS firmware 3.0 today with redsn0w. i downloaded the miipatch from hackulos, and so on the step where i had to restart my 2g iphone, it freezes and needed to be restored again.. and without restarting my iphone, in itunes, it just says Application not verified, and which was after inputting the app from itunes (free). Am i the only one getting this problem?
got a problem : everything works until installng the app to my iphone through itunes. ‘the application……was not installed, because it could not be verified.’ Help ?! i downloaded the ipa from appulous, so everything shoud be working according to the method 3, but it’s not
@Pierre – Hi, Check the following 1. Did you install Appsync? 2. Did you restart your iPhone after installing Appsync? 3. Did you install any apps from AppStore using iTunes?
