Hi nak, iPhone 2G by default did not support internet tethering, you should first jailbreak it, then install internet tethering via Cydia. search google about internet tethering to get more on this

Hi, guys I am new on PPPOE connection. At my university have wifi lan but inorder to connect this line need PPPOE connection which i am using already with my login and pass. And network administrators of our university connected my pc (windows vista) to internet with using some URL base proxy.pac And i asked them connect my iphone and they were rejected becouse they are not make service to iphone. so I have tried to connect my iphone but i couldnt please help my how to do that.

Nice tutorial, but i have a problem i.e i have successfully connected to internet while following the above procedure but my wi-fi disconnected after a-while.plzzz replay someone.why does it happen ?

Hi t-bird, Just follow these instructions : 1. Go to "network connections" 2. Set a new bridge between your internet connection & wireless network adapter 3. Create a new wireless connection (ad-hoc) 4. Connect your iPhone to this connection ** Note that you must have DHCP server available network
I want to add here that in my case DHCP on my Iphone failed to get the IP and DNS settings automatically so I enetered them manually to get it work. Thanks again.
Great article mate !! It took me a while to figure it out but it does work !! My router got damaged and I didn’t want to purchase one right away. And really badly wanted internet on Iphone. Just followed the steps and voila ! .. I have net on Iphone now. Thanks a ton !!

why? is there some thing wrong….

1. Open network and sharing, 2. Click manage network connections, 3. Right click on your Local area connection and click properties, continue, 4. Select sharing tab and unchek the 'Allow other network users to connect……' press OK
Now try to build the bridging process. Should be fine.
No need to bridge any more while using ICS
Just enable ICS (Internet connection sharing) on your PPPoE connection while creating wireless connection for iPhone!

when i tried to follow the above instructions to setup an adhoc connection in my PC with VISTA installed – its displaying "Bridging cannot be done when other network connection property sheets are open". Please help me out in this regard asap…….
You have to close all appearing windows before start bridging. Also you may need to restart your computer once before doing that!

No you don't need to jailbreak your iPhone in order to connect it to the internet
